A quick aside to give a big kudos to Ubisoft for their commitment to supporting their titles over the long-haul. These days, if a title isn't a big hit in the first month, it feels like it's quickly abandoned or given minimal updates/support. Not Ubisoft. They release a game and they say, "we're seeing this through to the bitter end," and it's worked out well for them (see: Rainbow 6 Siege's eSports community).
]]>Ubisoft is celebrating today's new content update by offering a free trial period for the game, which effectively runs from Thursday morning to Sunday night. Players who participate will be able to play the base game as well as all three expansions, meaning those who bought the game at launch but never purchased DLC will also get a chance to jump back in and see what all has changed. Should they choose to keep playing after the free weekend is over, players can pick the game up at a steep discount - 67% or 70% off, depending on what version of the game they'd like to grab.
The trial period for the game is different depending on what part of the world you reside in and what platform you use. Thankfully, Ubisoft have produced a map that tells you what is what. Essentially you can play for free over 4-7th May, with some jiggery-pokery around the edges:
Last Stand introduces players to a new way of experiencing the Dark Zone through a session-based adversarial game mode featuring clear objectives and win conditions while incorporating key elements of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and landmarks. Players will be on a team of eight Division agents fighting against a team of either Rogue agents as they attempt to capture the tactical terminals. Last Stand will also include a new incursion, Stolen Signal.
For co-op players the new addition of the Legendary Difficulty should add some replayability to the game. Missions have been completely reworked to make them much more challenging.
Since it's release earlier this year, The Division has received a number of patches and balance updates that addressed many of the complaints players had about the game once the main story was complete. Patch 1.4 made a bunch of changes to the way things like difficulty and loot drops worked as a whole and, by many accounts, has made the title worth checking out again. This kind of a change, though, also meant having to push some content back. As of now, the first of two DLC modes, the co-op focused "Underground" and the PvP based "Survival," have already been released and the third, "Last Stand," should be out early next year.

As with all of these bundles the number of games you get depends on your spend. For as little as a dollar you can pick up the 4 player co-op Rayman Origins. The game is great fun and racked up an immense 4.5 out of 5 in our Co-Optimus review. Your $1 also gets you the none co-op games Grow Home and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/14221/ubisoft-return-to-humble-bundle.htmlAs a way of saying "our bad," developer Massive Entertainment announced that logging into The Division this weekend will net you 150 Phoenix Credits for free. If you're unfamiliar with the currency, this those credits are used at the special gear vendor within the main Base of Operations to purchase high-end gear and blueprints. As you normally earn only 10 credits for completing a daily mission, and most stuff within the store is at least 70 credits, that will go a little way towards getting you closer to having that gear score of 160 that's needed to access the "Falcon Lost" Incursion event.
More "horde mode" than "raid," The Division's Incursion event requires players to have gear of a certain level in order to participate. This information was revealed in a patch a few weeks back and folks were anticipating that gear drops would be tweaked to allow endgame players to meet that requirement pretty quick. Despite wording in the updates leading up to, and including, the big one this month, many players are still finding gear that is sub-30 from the tougher enemies in the Daily/Challenge missions and the world at large.
First on the list of additions is the game's inaugural Incursion, "Falcon Lost", which is an end-game activity aimed at The Division's top tier of squads and will reward handsomely any crew that successfully braves its depths. Alongside that are rare gear sets, which are unique collections of gear that, when equipped simultaneously, unlock a never-before-seen ability for your agent.
