Epic Action RPG 'Blightbound' Leaving Early Access, Coming to Consoles in July

The premise of Blightbound involves a fantasy land plagued by the Blight, a dark and dangerous fog that corrupts all that it touches. A group of three heroes must leave the safety of their refuge to take on the mystical monstrosities of the Blight while also avoiding its contaminating touch. Actually, the single-player tutorial starts with a single hero rescuing her teammates. Once they've been recovered and the tutorial area completed, the team is ready for single-player or co-op adventures.

As described by the game's developer Ronimo games (Awesomenauts), Blightbound is a dark and stylish multiplayer dungeon crawler that puts three heroes on an adventure down from their mountain refuge to face the abominations of the Blight - a mysterious and corrupting fog that enshrouds the land. It's this blight mechanic the overarches each dungeon run / missions and will cause players to swap between characters or face penalties from being blighted.

The game will feature three player couch or online co-op when its released on Steam Early access this summer. Players will choose from 20 unique heroes as they head into dungeons to collect, craft, and level up their heroes. From the initial material it sounds like cooperative play is pivotal to success.
