It may be a two year old game, but Pre-Sequel's got a lot of love left to give. It's seen a release on previous gen consoles as well as PC, yet this version doesn't quite fit either of those categories. It's technically an Android game, but you have to have an Nvidia Shield TV box in order to play. Not an Nvidia Shield Tablet or that Nvidia clamshell handheld thingy, just the TV device. If you've got the hardware, Pre-Sequel is easily the beefiest game you can download. It currently sells for a respectable $14.99 and requires the controller to play.

In the time honored tradition of launch trailers, Gearbox has released a launch trailer for The Handsome Collection detailing each and every new feature or improvement over previous versions of the game. Likewise in the time honored tradition of launch trailers, they've spliced up some gameplay footage with real life video, much to my shocking embarrassment.

Claptastic Voyage is the first piece of DLC for the game that actually has some campaign element, allowing 4 online/2 offline pals to join together and delve into Clappy's mind:

The fourth piece of DLC is entitled Claptastic Voyage and is due out on PC, 360 and PS3 March 24th, but will also be included in the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, due out on the same day for One and PS4.  

While she's no Moxxie, Sir Hammerlock's sister Aurelia does have a few good qualities to speak of. Her action skill, Cold as Ice, lets her toss out a Frost Diadem Shard that homes in in enemies and deals them constant damage. If the foe dies, the shard moves on to the next enemy, and so on. Great for bugs, not so great for the big stuff.

Both games in The Handsome Collection come with a ton of DLC, character additions, headhunter packs and add-on content. The purchase even includes a season pass for Pre-Sequel, netting you new content in the future. And if you've already logged approximately 482 hours in the borderlands universe (that's a random number in no way related to my own playing time), you can transfer your saves from previous generation systems, PS3/Vita to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

Everything scales up according to your level for the new playthrough, including enemies, bosses and that tasty, tasty loot. All you have to do is complete True Vault Hunter Mode and reach level 50, then reset your progress from the main menu. Gearbox detailed some of the numbers for UVHM on a recent blog post:

Released in early November, the Handsome Jack pack is the first of four scheduled pieces of DLC planned for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. If you bought the Season Pass this is the first chunk of that, otherwise you'll need to nab it separately. Next on the release list are things like a campaign add-on, another character, a level cap increase, and some extra items to fool around with. Fingers crossed for a raid boss stuffed somewhere in there, too.
