That's right, Castle Crashers for Steam, released way back in 2012, is getting fresh DLC! The "Painter Boss Paradise" DLC will feature:

]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/15984/castle-crashers-remastered-coming-to-ps4-nintendo-switch.htmlI won't mince words here: I love Castle Crashers. The controls are tight, the visuals are crisp, the enemies are varied, and the combat is a fun-filled bash fest. Maybe the game happened to come out in a beat'em'up drought, or maybe because it harkened back to the days of Double Dragon, but this game stands out as one of my favorite Xbox Live Arcade titles. This definitive edition locks the framerate at a smooth 60 fps, comes with all the DLC, and adds a new minigame entitled "Back Off Barbarian." Remastered is the premier version of Castle Crashers.
Xbox 360 users who own both Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater are given the Can't Stop Crying pack (and an achievement) for free, but that game isn't out on PSN. You'll have to fork over the two bucks if you want to hack and slash as a tophat adorned and chronically sobbing Hatty.
Castle Crashers is finally gracing the PC with a proper release. The Behemoth masterpiece co-op game is now out on Steam with full four player local and online co-op support. It's available on both Mac and PC for $14.99 today and comes complete with all the personality, weapons, and colorful characters as the 360 and PS3 release of the game.

It went on to become a smash hit, one of the best selling games on the service. In 2010, that same game was released on the Playstation Network, allowing PS3 owners to enjoy it. Now, more than four years after its initial release, non-console gamers can get their hands on Castle Crashers.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/8979/castle-crashers-gets-a-pc-mac-release-date.htmlIt seems like porting downloadable console games to Steam is the cool thing to do these days. Iron Brigade just came out on PC this week, and now The Behemoth has announced a Steam port of their popular co-op brawl-PG Castle Crashers. With the relative scarcity of local co-op in PC games, we're pleased to report this one will feature both online and offline 4-player co-op. Plus it boasts such modest system requirements, even Co-Optimus' own Andrew Gaskill should be able to run it! Check out those requirements and the feature list after the break.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/8780/castle-crashers-finally-crashing-on-steam-this-year.htmlCastle Crashers is probably the best side-scrolling beat-em-up in recent memory, if not all time. The XBLA version just got a little better as The Behemoth has finally published a second title update, fixing many of the game’s longstanding issues. The update also introduces a new piece of DLC, the Pink Knight pack. And it’s free! (The Pink Knight has been available as paid DLC in the PSN version since February.)

The excellently awesome Castle Crashers has reached a gaming milestone. The Xbox LIVE arcade title hit 2 million players on the leaderboards over Christmas weekend. That's not including PSN players. For those of you who don't know, 'excellently' awesome is the sixth highest level of awesome. It only gets awesomer from there! Official* Top Five Awesome Rankings from least to greatest: incredibly, fantastically, moderately (weird, I know) , co-operatively, and finally, epically. Awesomely awesome is the worst level of awesome, for obvious reasons (If you're oblivious to the obvious, see inverse ninja thoery.)

August 31st, 2010 you can spend that $15 that’s been burning a hole in your digital wallet on Castle Crashers. For those that already owned the Xbox LIVE version, there are a few incentives to re-purchase this one. First and foremost the entire game has been optimized in its transfer over to PSN.
