CastleStorm is a slick tower defense game from the developer's behind Zen Pinball. It mixes the physics of that game with some fun typical tower defense action. Co-Optimus enjoyed the solo element of the game, but the co-op was a little lacking. The Definitive Edition does not change the 2 player local co-op on offer, but does provide more of it, as well as additional campaign elements.
]]>For those of you have yet to try out CastleStorm, Definitive Edition will be a great way to experience the very best quality the game has to offer. The game is a mashup of tower defense and some brawler action gameplay, all within a medieval setting. We can look forwards to purchasing this new iteration come this September 23rd for just $10; not a half bad deal if you ask us! Mel Kirk, VP of Publishing at Zen Studios had this to say regarding the Definitive Edition:
As a game that was gorgeous to begin with, we can't wait to see what it will look like on the more powerful consoles. Details on the new content have not yet been announced, but we can expect to see more content than what was in the game at it's 2013 release.
There are some pretty deep restrictions on the co-op for CastleStorm, being that you have to progress quite far in the story to unlock it; especially considering the limited scope of the two-player modes. You and a buddy can split responsibility between the tower defending or the brawling, or the two of you can brawl away against endless enemies. This could be a good deal for a Vita at $9.99, with the added PS3 bonus for free. No word if the DLC will be included in this package, or even available at all. We've got a review of CastleStorm up on the site if you'd like more info on the subject.

It contains a new Royal Guard faction who bring with them a series of different weapons to fire on enemy troops and strongholds. The weapons are a mix of the new and advances on projectiles already seen in the game - I for one cannot wait to convert swaths of enemy troops to my side and fling some rockets.
The game that provides us with a chance to create our ultimate 2D castle and defend it, I’m happy to report that CastleStorm will be arriving very soon on Steam! This is a grand opportunity to take its Last Stand and Survival modes to our PC co-op partners this July and reign down some ballistic hell on enemies.

No longer will society have to judge you as you can take your ovine hobby into the virtual world of CastleStorm, the new tower defence/attack game from Zen Studios.
Zen Pinball 2 is one of the most played games I have owned on the 360, it is highly addictive and designed to an exceptional standard by Zen Studios. If the developer can bring this expertise to the upcoming 2 player co-op game CastleStorm, we are all in for a treat. CastleStorm is out on the 29th May and the Co-Optimus review will follow soon after, for now check out the informative Dev Diary.

Developer Zen Studios recently announced the genre-bending action/brawler/tower defense game will hit Xbox Live Arcade on May 29th. Accompanying the happy date are a few new screenshots as well as a release video, which is about ten seconds of the date flying around sandwiched by twice that time in studio logos. But it's cute, that counts for something, yeah?

Zen Studios has revealed the specifics of its co-op modes for those looking to try to defend their castles from hordes of man and beasts.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/9901/zen-studios-describes-castlestorm-s-multiple-co-op-modes.htmlGreat Britain has lots of castles. In fact, we have too many of them and could do with some being attacked and destroyed in a Ye Olde Fashion. People of a destructive nature will be able to brush up on their siege skills with the upcoming downloadable title CastleStorm. I would help bring down a fort or two, but I actually like the shops around Windsor Castle, so these new screens will have to do.
