The Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC will feature:
]]>In a surprise announcement on July 28th, developer Studio MDHR revealed that the game would be immediately available on Sony's home console. While it was always likely that Cuphead would come to PlayStation 4 at some point in its lifespan, the immediacy of the announcement certainly was a pleasant surprise. To welcome all their potential new fans into the fold, Studio MDHR released an, uh... unsettling announcement trailer.
Titled "The Delicious Last Course", this expansion content adds new weapons, charms, and bosses, as well as a brand new playable character, Ms. Chalice. MDHR's plan to create and release more content for their acclaimed title has been no secret, but details up to this point had been relatively light. Now, though, we have a nice trailer showing off the new content and an updated release window.
So, instead of maintaining your daily regimen of thumb curls and finger yoga, why don't you prepare for the game by reveling in the aspects that won't make you rage-crush your sixty dollar controller? The folks at Studio MDHR just released a teaser video showing off some behind-the-scenes footage of soundtrack production. Hope you like brass.
The gameplay footage below goes through one level solo, and then two bosses in co-op. If you're interested in just the co-op portion, skip to the 3:20 mark. In both of the boss battles, you'll see Elise and her co-op buddy swapping between two different attacks: a long-range blue bullet, and short range red burst (akin to a shotgun blast). Each of these weapons are useful in dealing with the various enemies and hazards in the game, and teaming up with a buddy means you can pretty much cover both bases at once. You'll also see that players can revive one another by jumping into the ghost that appears whenever they lose all of their health.
It's been a few months since developer Studio MDHR revealed its expanded vision for the game, moving from a simple boss rush campaign to one including extended platforming levels, and they seem dedicated to ensuring that scope. So much so, in fact, that they've made the decision to delay the game into mid-2017. To catch a glimpse at what the gameplay will look like upon release, check out their E3 2016 video below.
Sorry, did I come on too strong? There's a new gameplay video fresh out of Gamescom for Cuphead. Watch it, or whatever.

You'd think at this point our concave-headed heroes would have laughed The Hellbeast out of the room once he made his offer. I suppose having liquid receptacles for heads may affect their decision-making skills slightly, though.
