The Xbox Live Deal of the Week that kicks off today features tons of Dance Central 2 downloadable content. Sure, it's an identical repeat of last October's sale, but Microsoft and Harmonix are surely banking on many new players thanks to Black Friday sales and Christmas gifts. Do you need this DLC? DC2 has plenty of songs on-disc to keep Kinect gamers busy - 45, to be precise. Still, part of the fun of music games in general is being able to play to your favorite songs (or at least more of them), so it wouldn't hurt to pick up a song pack or two.

Dance Central 2 comes out this Tuesday and includes 45 different songs - my favorites are ‘Technologic’ by Daft Punk and ‘Satellite’ by Lena. Gamers who want more songs would usually need to either export the first game’s soundtrack for 400 Microsoft Points or buy individual DLC tracks for 320 Points a pop. Thankfully this week happens to be Kinect’s one year anniversary, and that means DLC sales a-plenty!

Can’t wait for Harmonix's Kinect-driven Dance Central 2 to launch on October 25? You’re in luck, as the game’s demo is now available on Xbox Live. It’s available exclusively to Xbox Live Gold members for now, with Silver members getting access next week. Clocking in at 1.31 Gigabytes, the demo is quite a large download, but it offers a good look at some of the game’s new and improved multiplayer modes, including two-player local co-op.

You're pretty much a dancing master at this point. You've told 'em, plenty of times, alongside Soulja Boy. You've pushed it... maybe even pushed it real good. Funky Town has been a frequent destination for you. Now that Dance Central 2 is on the horizon, you can't wait to play in two player co-op mode with a partner. Just think of the fun you'll have with all the new routines and songs. But you'll miss Nelly and Lady Gaga so much! If only there were some way to get your favorite songs from the original in the shiny new sequel...
