In the presser materials from Bandai Namco, "The Ringed City" DLC will see your hero "chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity." The teaser for this content shows off an area that was previously seen (but not reachable) at the very end of Dark Souls III. Specifically, that amalgamation of architecture that appears to include some familiar looking places. Chances are good that the references to previous Dark Souls titles will increase even more here, so now may be a good time to check out all of VaatiVidya's videos on YouTube to fill in your Dark Souls lore gaps.

There are a few different fixes being tossed around out there, and the most common three appear to be as follows:
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/14102/dark-souls-3-arrives-with-plenty-of-pc-issues.htmlSo far, Dark Souls 3 feels like a more refined version of what we've come to expect, except this time it seems to come with a heaping dose of series nostalgia. If this isn't your first rodeo, there are plenty of sights that should trigger familiar feelings. I'm enjoying it so far, and if the series is your thing, I think you will too.
It's always a tough call to say what is or isn't spoilers with a Souls game, so for those of you who prefer to know as little as possible, thanks for coming this far, but you should probably turn back now and avoid the video. For everyone else, enjoy the spectacle!
The other good news here is that, hopefully, it means the game will not only look beautiful while running, but that it will be as playable in 60 FPS as it would at 30 FPS. One of the main gameplay mechanics in the Souls franchise is timing your character's rolls to avoid enemy attacks. Previous PC ports that allowed the game (which was usually set to a lower FPS rate for consoles) to run at a higher frame rate meant that the actual frames of invincibility you had in that roll changed or were halved. It was enough of a difference to the fans of the series that there were several posts from players recommending other players to limit the FPS to 30.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/14030/pc-players-will-enjoy-60-fps-with-dark-souls-3.htmlLet's be honest here; at this point, you already know if you're going to be playing Dark Souls 3 or not. Some new video isn't going to convince you one way or another. I mean, really, Bandai Namco should have just said "eff it, use the original recording" in this video instead of their grim dark version. Although I suppose doing so would have gotten them flagged by YouTube for content and the video would have subsequently been pulled down.
Many of the images in this video have previously been seen in other promotional materials for the game. This is the first time, however, that there is some degree of story alongside all of it. What's more, the narration seems to hint at the possible presence of familiar landmarks and environments from previous Souls titles as Lothric is a place where "the transitory lands of the Lords of Cinder converge."
