You'll be able to buy each game individually for $19.99, or you can pick up all three at a slight discount for just $49.99 if you pre-order it now (the pack jumps back up to normal price of $59.99 after release). Regardless of how you purchase the titles, each one should include all DLC costumes that were released for the games during their original run, but the additional DLC expansions of "Case West" and "Case Zero" will not be re-released. On the PC side, you can already pick up Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on Steam, but the original Dead Rising will be available for the first time starting September 13.

While the original title was single-player only, all of the subsequent games have supported two player online co-op. In the case of Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, the second player is able to assist the host player in completing main story missions, but he/she only gets to keep the experience and money they earn. No story progression or items will carry back into the second player's game.
That's not all. Dead Rising: Case Zero, is also available for free. This single player prequel to the events in Fortune City lays out some back story for Chuck and his sick daughter, Katey. Obviously, I recommend playing through this short game first. It will introduce you to the new weapon crafting system, which is one of the highlights of the game.
The free games for the month of August are Crackdown, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero. This month, however, there is a timetable for Gold members to be aware of. Between August 1st and August 15th, Crackdown (normally $14.99) will be free to download. Then, beginning on August 16th, both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (a $34.99 value) will be free to download.

Easter has come early this year, you can tell by the fact that it is still snowing outside and I haven't got around to buying any eggs. Capcom is talking about a sequel to their latest successful zombie slayer, Dead Rising 2. Not only was DR2 a big hit, the XBLA exclusive Case Zero did very well, too. The publisher says that Case Zero has had over half a million downloads. I think making money is part of the Capcom business model, so expect more downloadable content to be heading your way.

If you pre-ordered Dead Rising 2 through Amazon.com you may be saddened to find out that the pre-order bonuses for it are missing in action. We've just received an email from the retailer telling us the bonuses, pictured above with ServBot Helmets and Chuck motorcycle jackets for your avatar, have been delayed indefinitely. Two weeks prior Amazon gave out $10 in credit because of, at that time, a short delay in receiving the codes. Now it appears your virtual goods will never see the light of day.
