Disney Universe doesn't provide the most authentic general Disney experience on consoles - that honor goes to Kinect Disneyland Adventures, and even Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure, to a lesser extent. But Universe has one thing its Kinect competitors don't: loads of DLC costumes to buy. The latest batch of costumes features everyone's favorite puppet performers, The Muppets.

While Disney Universe may not be what Disney fans and gamers want from a Disney character mashup, this new DLC at least capitalizes on a popular show. The 'Phineas and Ferb Level Pack' includes an all-new level as well as five characters from the eponymous kids' cartoon.

It may look like LittleBigPlanet on the box, but it’s all LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean in gameplay. With a fantastic set of properties to draw from and 4-player local co-op, Disney's latest shows plenty of promise. But is the game really a Disney Universe or just a small world after all?

All of this Dark Souls and Rage talk is starting to desensitize me. Time for a little something for the children. Ah, here we go; Disney Universe is coming to a console near you on October 25th! This LittleBigPlanet - ahem, homage - will feature many of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters and locations. Four local co-op buddies will outfit their character with one of over 40 costumes, each with a "specific tool that changes and grows in power as players adventure through the game." I smell a platformer!
