When EA first launched its Origin service back in June 2011, the system was intended to be something of a competitor to Steam (Valve's long-running digital distribution platform) with one important change: it was only for EA games. It didn't have the best of starts and poorly engendered itself to many PC gamers by making the service mandatory in order to play any new releases since its launch.
]]>The actual package for the GOTY edition will, apparently, only contain the game disc and codes that can be redeemed for the major add-ons - Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and Trespasser - as well as some additional goodies that were previously only found in the Deluxe edition of the game or in special item packs. While this method isn't too different than the way pre-order DLC has been handled, it is odd that it should be how a GOTY edition is packaged. In years past, usually, the GOTY version of a title included all of that content on the disc(s), with maybe a patch or two to download the first time it's fired up.
The difficulty in making a game across five platforms has proved cumbersome for Bioware, so to streamline the process they are concentrating on the PS4/One/PC versions of the game. There is no news of any forthcoming DLC, but rest assured that if there ever is, it will not be out on the older platforms.

Should they want to double down on their brand new experiences, the DLC also contains three playable characters: an Avvar Skywatcher, a Virtuoso (whose music can kill, not unlike the Kidz Bop series), and Isabela, the Raider Queen.
Even if the prospect of a few free hours of free doesn't appeal to you, Inquisition will be on sale during the same time period for a healthy 40% off the regular price. Reel 'em in with a free taste, right? The massive game features a tacked on co-op mode that allows four online players to head out on an adventure in typical Bioware fashion. Three character classes are available at the beginning, with more unlockable later in the game.
Inquisition's Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes a selection of in-game items, and a digital soundtrack, is also on sale this week for $41.99. A personal standout is the "Fix and Issue where Dragons Would Freeze During a Roar." They roared so hard it froze them in place! In terms of co-op the biggest fix is the one where you'd enter a match without any abilities present.

]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/12573/dragon-age-inquisition-on-sale-for-45-from-amazon-today-only.htmlThe online co-op mode has been compared to what we saw in Mass Effect 3, another Bioware creation. And while they both sport four player online co-op, replayable levels, and a loot system based on both real world and in game currency - the difference stops there. Players are given three character classes to start from (Legionarre, Reaver and Archer) with a total of twelve available. Other classes are unlocked by crafting their armor which is done by salvaging materials from goods found within the levels or from chests you purchase with in game or real world currency.
