I've spent a little time poking around in the revised version to match up what has been stated and what is the reality. There's a lot of info out there and not all of it is entirely clear. Here's what I've found:
]]>Starting today, Kala will meander into Hunter HQ, act like nothing's amiss, and ask if she can hop into the next session. She'll be taking on the Support role, which has been held primarily by Hank, Bucket, Cabot, and Sunny. To differentiate herself, she's decided to get into the whole "genome splicing" thing all the kids are into and combined Monster DNA with that of her own. She's also brought a teaser trailer that she'll no doubt throw onto the HQ's projector and act surprised when it starts playing.
Major Nelson's blog has the full list of games on sale, but here are the co-op highlights:
The ranks of Evolve's beasties just got a little more gnarly with the inclusion of the newest monster: the Gorgon. She's got a certain nightmarish quality guaranteed to terrify you and your buddies, at least until her acid dissolves you from the inside out.
Evolve Ultimate Edition coming Nov 3 ($60) PS4: http://t.co/EeHdxispjM XBO: http://t.co/nXfNtNtEKu
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/13588/evolve-ultimate-edition-should-be-rampaging-onto-consoles-november-3rd.html2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have officially announced that beginning at 12:00 PM PDT on September 3rd through 10:00 AM PDT on September 7th Evolve will be free on Windows PC. Now for Xbox One fans the time frame will be a bit shorter with it starting on September 4th at 12:01 AM PDT through September 6th at 11:59 PM PDT
Of course, I'm only exaggerating about the mini novel patch notes. Why would someone NOT want to scroll through line after line of fixes made to the game? After all, hardcore Evolve players should be aware of what will change the game. But will it be enough to keep the game afloat on PC?
Whether you purchase these characters individually or as a bundle through the future Hunter Season 2 pack, each one is said to bring all new elements into the game never seen before. Five new playable characters, one Monster and four Hunters, will be arriving sometime next year (at least before March 31, 2016). A first teased look at the group can be seen in the image below. Could the new Monster silhouette look any more demonic (very insect-like too)? The Hunters also look pretty gothic as well.
So, the PSN is running sales on colossal number of quality Co-Op games, and plenty more. Sales are in overabundance for Playstation 4 and the PS3, and even the Vita gets a smidge of love.
This new trailer has over six minutes of footage highlighting some of the elements that the new character builds bring to the game:
