The Humble Capcom PlayStation Bundle includes a lot of great games, like Okami HD, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and a Megaman 9/10 combo pack, but its co-op offerings are rather sparse. On the plus side, you can get them for almost nothing. If you pay just $1, you can get both Final Fight Double Impact and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 for the Playstation 3. Personally, I'd kick in the full $15 to get all of the titles as Okami HD alone is worth it.

Double Impact is one of five new games to the backwards cannon this week, but it is the only one to grace co-op. Thankfully, this is not just one game, but two! For you money you get Final Fight, but you also get Magic Sword. We gave the duo a decent 3.5 out of 5, but for my money Final Fight is one of the all time classics of the genre. For players that already own the game on 360, it should pop up on their install queue, whilst non-owners can pick it up for $8.

Capcom Digital Collection Packages XBLA Offerings for Retail Shelves

Maybe you've been looking at picking up some Capcom titles on Xbox Live Arcade? You might want to wait until later this spring. The rather blandly-named Capcom Digital Collection is headed to retail release in late March. The disc bundles eight of Capcom's better downloadable offerings, several of which are co-op. 1942: Joint Strike, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Final Fight: Double Impact (pictured above), Flock!, Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 all feature co-op gameplay; for details, check out the links. Rounding out the set are two very popular games that lack co-op but are still pretty awesome: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Final Fight: Double Impact is Half the Price on XBLA

Final Fight: Double Impact is on sale this week on Xbox Live Arcade bringing it's normal 800 price down to 400 . Half the price for double the game! Not a bad deal for a title we gave a solid 3.5 out of 5 on.

[Updated] Final Fight Double Impact PSN "Plug In Or Go Home"

[Updated below] It seems like PSN users are almost required by Sony and Capcom to play co-op with their copies of Final Fight Double Impact. It turns out that Final Fight will not play on your PS3 if you are not connected to the network. Even if you're playing local multiplayer or single player, you're still required to have your PS3 connected to play.

Final Fight Double Impact represents a good value, with all sorts of nifty bells and whistles adding to the enjoyment of what is already a strong Co-Op Classic. Or, rather, TWO Co-Op Classics.

Capcom has announced price and release date info for Final Fight: Double Impact on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Final FIght Double Impact features two co-op classics; Final Fight and Magic Sword. These arcade titles from the 1990's were known for their side scrolling beat em up style.
