If your memory requires a little refresher on what this game is, Foul Play is sidescrolling brawler that is set on a theatrical stage instead of the mean streets of Metro City, River City, or Pacific City. You play as Baron Dashforth while your co-op partner assumes the role of the baron's sidekick, Mr. Scampwick. Together, you'll play through the Baron's greatest adventures and fight off his greatest foes while simultaneously trying to impress the crowd.

When we reviewed the game last fall, we quite enjoyed it, giving it a 4 out of 5. The art style was charming, bringing to mind fond memories of Behemoth's Castle Crashers. Though there were some drawbacks to the game, overall we found it great fun to play with a friend. Despite the fact that one can button mash one's way through the game, there are also some satisfying combos to pull off, which are rewarded with in-game audience approval.

If battling against pirates and unicorn bears with a friend sounds like a good time, you’ll be happy to hear we gave Foul Play a 4 out of 5 review. The two-player co-op pits you against hordes of daemons and increases the fun in achieving higher combos. While the gameplay itself is not largely altered by having a second player around, it’s certainly more fun.
