The expansion, titled "Awakening the Nightmare," will shift the campaign over to Atriox and his Banished forces as they fight off everybody's favorite Halo enemy: the Flood. From an overall story perspective, these events take place a few months after the conclusion of the main campaign as the Banished are now desperate to take control of the Ark. I get that desperate times call for desperate measures, but unleashing some zombie plants doesn't seem all that smart.

"Colony" is a pair of Hunter enemies (each of which, apparently, is made up of some kind of alien space worm called Lekgolo that have a collective intelligence) and works for the Banished, i.e., Atriox's forces. All I can say to that is, "huh; space worms." Anyways, Colony's focus is on commanding and aiding other Lekgolo units, like the new hulking Goliath or the battle seasoned Scarred Hunters, by passively healing them with its "Combat Repair" ability. All together, the "Colony" DLC includes the new Colony leader, eight new Blitz cards, and five Blitz Packs for Colony's exclusive cards. While the cards themselves may be limited to Blitz mode, the leader and units are available in other modes, like Firefight.

Halo War 2 is due 21st February and has a six player skirmish mode that allows you and your pals to combine your forces to take on an army of AI.  The campaign mode also exists and it his here that the cinematic launch trailer concentrates on:

While the game was first teased at this year's E3, we weren't sure if Halo Wars 2 would tout any co-op this time around. Some more info has gotten out there now and, like its predecessor, the game will support co-op in both the main campaign and a separate "Skirmish Mode," which will let you and up to five friends (depending on the multiplayer mode selected) engage in some good ole comp stomping.
