The Killing Floor 2 Tidal Terror update features:
]]>The good news is, the Epic store version of the game is completely cross-play compatible with the Steam version.
While Killing Floor 2 was originally released in 2016, the game has continued to receive (often free) content. In speaking about the most recent update in the article linked above, David noted in the article on Xbox.com: “Over two years after launch on Xbox One, we’re still fully committed to listening to the fans and improving the game based on the top community requested features and tweaks. This update we took special aim at improving our Stand Your Ground optional objective to make it feel more rewarding and less punishing for the group as well as refining the Abomination Boss battle to bring it in line with our other bosses. Have a Happy Halloween everyone and see you all on the Killing Floor.”
The update went live December 4th and continues until January 18th, so now that Santa has had a chance to climb into his sleigh, now is your chance to hop in and slay. While the update does add some super fun additions (with a full list here) it also brings a number of tweaks and fixes, which is always a great stocking-stuffer alongside the gift of ultraviolence.
As with many of Killing Floor 2's updates, "HH:MM" adds a new map (the Monster Ball), seasonally appropriate makeovers for all the zeds, new cosmetics, new weaponry, new music, and a few limited-time items. That's a lot of extra ways to spread the joy of All Hallows' Eve! Credit to Tripwire, by the way, for continually finding new, inventive ways of making the zeds extra terrifying.
The "Killing Floor 2 - Summer Sideshow: Treacherous Skies Update" (which, for sanity's sake, will henceforth be referred to as "the update") is first and foremost adding a new map to the collection: Airship. In it, players are working together to help Lockhart reach his home island by "completing a series of increasingly challenging objectives", punctuated by blasting waves of zeds into smithereens. A new community map, called Endless Lockdown, has been added as well.
As with past seasonal events, the Zeds will look distinctly holiday-ish (sans the joy and cheer), and if players can survive their red-and-green onslaught, they'll get a chance to take down the aforementioned K-man. All this takes place on a brand new holiday map, which features a "demented Xmas soundtrack".
In addition to the game itself, the Xbox One and Xbox One X version will also include all previously released content for the title. That means you'll get The Tropical Bash, The Descent, and "some elements of the Summer Sideshow" (the Tragic Kingdom map, Weekly Outbreak Game Mode, and the HZ12 Shotgun & Centerfire Lever Action Rifle). Along with that, the Xbox One version of Killing Floor 2 will also be getting the new Freezethrower weapon and Wasteland Armor uniform (along with skins for each) as a limited time exclusive. Finally, if you decide to pick up an Xbox One X when they go on sale this fall, then you'll get be able to take advantage of the same graphical enhancements (i.e., 4K resolution, increased performance, and high res textures) that PlayStation 4 Pro owners enjoy. All of that wrapped up in a $39.99 price point.

The event is currently only available for the PC version of the game, but it's coming to the PlayStation 4 version (which you can currently get for free via PS+) at a later point. More info on the event can be found on the official website.
