DC Premium DLC Coming to LittleBigPlanet 2!

Rather than release all the new DC DLC in one go, Sony are planning to 5 different packs. There will be a season pass for the lot available for $24.99 (£19.99), or each pack can be bought separately.

Extra, Extra! LittleBigPlanet 2 Extra Edition Coming Soon

LittleBigPlanet 2 has been out for two years now and over that time seems to have had more DLC than the entire Wii catalog combined. It is hard to know what to buy and what to miss; thankfully Media Molecule have removed this tricky life decision and created the LBP 2 Extra Edition. This new retail version of the game is coming soon and will contain the original game, plus a 'best of' selection of DLC.

LittleBigPlanet 2 to Introduce "Cross-Controller" Play in DLC

Do you think that LittleBigPlanet 2 would be perfect for a WiiU game? Sony thinks so, but rather than bringing the game to the new WiiU console, an upcoming DLC pack for LBP2 will introduce cross-controller play between the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita. This is great news to gamers who already own a PS3 and a Vita, but probably sad news for WiiU owners who don't have those two consoles.

Time Burton's Alice in Wonderland may not be a super good film script-wise, but I guess it did a pretty good job of capturing the look of Lewis Caroll's classic book. Nobody may have been crying for it, but LittleBigPlanet 2 owners can now play as those difficult-to-connect-with characters, thanks to the 'Alice in Wonderland Costume Pack.'

6 million is a lot of levels. Imagine starting up the new Mario game, only to find you have 6 million more levels to play! The chances are you would have to pass the game on to your decedents to complete. Sounds like complete fancy doesn't it? Not for the LittleBigPlanet franchise which has just hit 6 million user made levels - and not all of them are rubbish people post up for a trophy.

It’s not uncommon these days for successful games to be bundled with their DLC and repackaged as Game of the Year editions. It’s a great way of attracting gamers who passed on the game originally by offering lots of extra content. Just as the first LittleBigPlanet got the GOTY treatment, so too will the sequel – this time dubbed LittleBigPlanet 2 Special Edition. Sony will also be offering the Special Edition in a Playstation Move bundle for an even better deal.

LB2 Forums Hint at Awesomeness, Forums Swoon

Something awesome is coming to Little Big Planet 2. At least that's what the forums Community Curator claims. We already know of a PlayStation Move pack coming on September 14th, so what could this be? Little Big Planet 2 is already doused with awesome sauce, as you can see in our review. Media Molecule continues to pump out a steady stream of downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet 2, just as they did for its predecessor. On September 14, LBP2 receives its largest DLC pack to date: ‘Move Pack: Rise of the Caklings.’ I don’t know what a Cakling is, but I get the impression that we’re better off if they stay down low instead of rising.
