We've been just a bit distracted this week, for Spartan-based reasons, so forgive us for the late notice on this one. One of the first co-op games for the Playstation Move, Lord of the Rings Aragorn's Quest, is now available. Wii owners get a port for the original waggle console, as well. The game has been in our crystal ball for quite some time, and we are anxious to hear if it was worth the wait. Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest Co-Op Trailer

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is only a few weeks away from release. The PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii versions of the game include both motion control and two player co-op play. In co-op, player two controls the wizard Gandalf while player one is the ranger Aragorn.

Co-op is exclusive to the Wii and PlayStation 3 version of Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, as motion control is required for your adventure. We have the latest batch of screenshots showcasing the game, one we haven't heard much about since it was announced last year.

We've been following the development of Aragorn's Quest pretty closely. A kid friendly co-op brawler set in Middle Earth? Yes please. So far the game has been delayed from a Fall 2009 release to Spring 2010. It appears we have to wait a bit longer, as it has been delayed once more, this time to Fall 2010. But there is a bit of good news to go with the bad.

Sad news hobbits. Those of you hoping to waggle with Aragorn, Frodo, Gimli and the crew in Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for the Wii are going to have to wait until the spring of next year. The game joins a growing group of video games that have been delayed from a Fall 2009 release to a Spring 2010 release.

The Lord of the Rings video game license now belongs to Warner. Their first game is a departure from the darker tone of the excellent movies, clearly aiming for a younger audience. Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is headed to the Wii this fall.
