The "Multiplayer Pack" will include two parts, though both seem to include the same types of content. The first part arrives April 30, 2020, and will include three new mini-games for the competitive ScreamPark Mode and three new outfits for Luigi to wear in the ScareScraper mode with "matching floor themes and themed ghosts." The second part arrives July 31, 2020 and will be more of the same. Both parts must be purchased together as part of the "Multiplayer Pack" bundle, which is available for $10. On the one hand, it's a bummer they're not adding anything significant to the co-op mode; on the other, CHECK OUT LUIGI'S ROCKING BOUFFANT!!!!

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Will Have Paid DLCMatthew Squaire

While both the “ScareScraper” and “ScreamPark” content are punny (Skyscraper and Theme Park, respectively) it’s unfortunate that Nintendo did not go to further lengths to explain to the waiting community what this post-launch content would bring, especially so close to the release date. Further, the website only lists the content as a sole bullet point, stating; “Paid DLC will come to Luigi's Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes.” Not only do we not know what it is, we also don’t know when it is - spooky.

Luigi's Mansion 3 includes two features from the past two 3DS entries, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion (a remake of the original game). The first returning feature is the "ScareScraper Mode" from Dark Moon, which has gotten a little bit of an overhaul. Rather than choosing a game mode, players will play through a set number of floors (the host chooses how many) and will need to work together to complete the objective for that floor. The levels and objectives are randomly generated each time so there will be a lot of replayability. The other returning feature is "Gooigi," who was added to Luigi's Mansion as a way for players to play the story together. Just like in that game, Luigi's Mansion 3 will let two friends team up on the couch (one as Luigi, the other as Gooigi) throughout the entire campaign.
