Our first night with Magicka 2 started us off on an adventure of epic proportions. We flew through the first four missions in just short of two hours. Magicka 2's tagline "learn to spell again" was definitely the theme of the night since the learning curve is a bit rough after being away from Magicka for so long. Regardless, we had a good time and we planned to continue the quest on another night.

The first, titled "Gates of Midgard Challenge Pack," adds three new challenge maps to those that are available to you in the game's Challenge mode. One of the maps looks like it's in some kind of Egyptian tomb while another looks like it's set in a jungle. The other add-on, "Three Cardinals Robe Pack," just adds three new robes for your wizard to wear: a "Laurence of Arabia" looking affair, a frozen king, and a samurai.
So how does it do this?
For the Wii U gamer out there looking for a decent co-op title, Bayonetta 2 just got a big price cut today at GameStop. There the game fell to $44.97. Best price seen since its October 2014 release date and a new low by $5. Normally sells for $59.99. Don't forget to also check out the latest Humble Bundle which includes some Wii U co-op titles too!

No?) with Magicka 2, out now for PC and PS4 for $14.99. Don your most visually audacious cowl and return to the slightly addled world of Midgard for a new quest. Be sure to bring three of your buddies along so they can forget where you're hanging out and incinerate your body.

Real fun, not fake scripted fun. When the game releases on May 26th for PC and PlayStation 4, I'll have fun like those people, what with the casting of spells and co-op gameplay and whatnot. Boy, Magicka 2 sure does seem swell. I might buy two copies just... because.
Oh, there's also an accordion player who seems to forget the tune mid-squeeze.
Paradox Interactive announced Magicka 2: Learn to Spell Again back at E3 2014, but only now has the healing truly begun. The upcoming sequel features more of what made the original game so insane, including four player co-op action, element-based spell mixing/casting, and friendly fire that makes everything you do dangerous to everyone around. In addition to the revamped old, Magicka 2 comes with a brand new storyline and gameplay that's "different each time you play". Randomly generated stages, perhaps?
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/12753/magicka-2-trailer-doesn-t-feature-any-vampires.htmlThe original Magicka was a pretty crazy affair. Players could combine different elements individually to make some destructive spells, or combine them with other players to make even more destructive spells, and then cast lightning bolts and kill everyone. It was, in two words, hella fun. I'm usually not a fan of griefing in co-op but it added so much that I can't imagine the game without it.
