Nom Nom Galaxy PC Release Set for August 3

The basic idea behind Nom Nom Galaxy is this: you need to make soup. Good soup, too, not that canned flavorless garbage you have to dump a handful of salt into just so it doesn't taste like the inside of an tin can. Making said soup requires you to establish a workflow from crop to nom, dealing with logistics ranging from soup storage to ingredient mixing. Oh, and you have to defend your soup factory from invaders. It's just that good.

Nom Nom Galaxy Hits PS4, Coming to PC in Late June

March 2014 brought us the first taste of Nom Nom Galaxy, which was formerly known as PixelJunk Inc. The Steam Early Access release has been quietly humming in the background while developer Q-Games tinkered with the tech behind the scenes. Creating a full-scale terraforming, building, production, defense and strategy game doesn't happen overnight, you know. Nor does adding both local and online co-op, for that matter!

Even though the idea sounds completely off the wall, there are some very recognizable elements in Nom Nom Galaxy. Each explorer has two types of lasers at their disposal: one that melts things, and one that creates things. PixelJunk Shooter-ish, yeah? The overreaching goal of the game is to build your factory and base, keep enemies at bay, grow and harvest plants, then turn everything you can into a sellable soup. Pipe the substance around the factory as you manage things like income and power supplies, all while running around a lovely 2D world with a bunch of other explorers.
