Overcooked is absolutely one of those games that I can easily recommend buying and playing again even if you've already played it on some other system. The fact that you can pick up your Switch and take it with you to share the co-op joy out in the world only sweetens the deal. It's chaotic and crazy and fun and absolutely worth the $19.99.

So what's included in this DLC? Well, along with eight new levels, two new chefs, and two new recipes (roast turkey and stew), you get a flamethrower. As if things catching on fire wasn't already enough of a hazard, your co-op partner now has full access to a mobile source of deadly flame. This will surely end well for all parties involved.

Now, I get it. You (presumably) like your friends and don't want to scream at them for the sake of enjoyment. Trust me, though. It's gonna happen, whether you want it to or not. Let's say you play Overcooked with your pals, and a few levels go by without a hitch. You're slapping mushroom soup on plates, cleaning dishes, and keeping folks happy. Then, out of nowhere, the game wants you to start making fish sandwiches on top of the soups you've grown so used to. On top of that, your kitchen is now on a floating block of ice. All of a sudden, you've got an order that's about to run out of time and there isn't a fried piece of fish in sight and that's insane because why wouldn't your friends be cooking any fish and WHAT'S A GUY GOT TO DO AROUND HERE TO GET A GOSH DARN PIECE OF FRIED FLIPPIN' FISH AROUND HERE.

Cook Meals with Friends in Overcooked

Inspired by experiences in real-life restaurant kitchens, Overcooked places players in the non-slip shoes of chefs that are tasked with serving up meals as quickly as they can to their hungry patrons. Of course, it's not as simple as grabbing ingredients and tossing them into a pot or skillet. You'll need to chop up the veggies, cook them, serve them up, and do the dishes. In other words, everyone has a job to do. Cooperation is key and it is one of the main design elements the developers had in mind when they set about making the game.
