If you already own Pit People, good news! You now own the full, official released version as well. And if you don't, you can pick up a fully developed and complete version for $14.99 on Steam.
]]>Locke and Nick checked Pit People out a few months back and came away impressed by what they saw then. Since that time, there's been an update that added daily co-op tasks, and now this one that adds even more for you and a buddy to do. While the title still doesn't have a firm release date, updates like this one push the title ever closer. The full patch notes can be found here.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/15087/update-4-arrives-today-for-pit-people.htmlThe Daily Tasks are available via The Emissary in the Pit, which is accessible after completing the game's prologue/tutorial. There's a Daily Task for each of the game modes, PvP and the more co-op friendly Unfair Challenge, that are available within the Pit. If you're unfamiliar with the game, the Unfair Challenge consists of three rounds versus three different sets of enemies, with each round getting more difficult than the last. Sounds like a good way for you and your partner to test your skills!
And boy were we impressed.
Pit People is a bit of a departure from The Behemoth's previous titles as it swaps out much of the action that was found in those games for a more tactical approach. You and your co-op buddy will control units on a hex-based grid and issue commands for where they move and attack. You'll be able to recruit new types of units and outfit them with gear in order to make your army more deadly.

Registration is still open, and all you have to do is follow the steps on this fancy lil' form.

First you have to look through the terms and conditions, then register on the Behemoth forums. Once that's complete, click the Beta Registration button, fill everything out, and you're done. The testing is set to begin sometime in August. No word on when or if PC users will get the same options.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/14314/pit-people-closed-beta-registrations-are-open.htmlOnce labeled Game 4 by The Behemoth, Pit People finally has a fresh new trailer with its new name. Take a look.
Pit People drops our story's heroes into an arena and gives them a chance to fight for their lives. Because that's what we all want, right? After a giant bear shatters the planet, Horatio, Pipistrella, Yosef, Sofia, and Gluten have banded together to try and stay alive. They'll fight off foes using dastardly weapons like icing launchers and explore strange new locations like Randall's Discount Orphanisms. Yep, this is a The Behemoth game, all right.
