Price at $9.99, players have the option of playing in classic 8-bit R-Type style, or a brand new 3D version of the graphics are an option too. Along with the revamped graphics comes remastered audio and music, a slow motion option, and the ability to map your controller.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with shoot-em-ups (otherwise known as shmups). R-Type is one of the oldest series of shooters, and it has everything I love (and hate) in spades.
This week's Xbox Live deal of the Week is the two player co-op R-Type Dimensions. The game was released earlier this year to a sticker shocking price of 1200. The deal cuts 33% off the price bringing it to a much more realistic 800 or $10.
