Last Friday I took my own advice and treated myself to Impulse's 50% off sale on Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. I'd been meaning to pick up this game for a little while, but hadn't decided between the console version and the PC version. Between the sale and some details I read about local co-op with the console version, I decided that the PC version was probably the way to go for me and my co-op partners-in-crime.
]]>Courtesy of Impulse's "Weekend Impulse Buys," you can buy the PC version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel for half price this weekend, meaning $15. This is a game that we thought had a pretty solid co-op experience, so if you're looking for a game to tide you over while all of this Diablo 3 information continues to tease you, Sacred 2 might be worth your while at this great price.

Despite the fact the game's developer, Ascaron, has gone belly up - sales were solid enough to warrant an expansion pack called Ice and Blood.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/2358/sacred-2-ice-and-blood-announced-with-screens-trailer-and-info.htmlA little known feature of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel on the PC is the ability to integrate with Dell's LightFX keyboard lighting system. The LightFX system backlit Dell's now defunct XPS laptop line with numerous colors, while the LightFX SDK allowed developers to control these based on what was happening in the game.

The announcement promises a new character and new items for all existing characters. In addition to player content, two never-before-seen areas will be accompanied by new quests featuring original enemies.

Nick gave us his thoughts on the PC version of the game, which were quite positive. I'll not reinvent the wheel with this review of the Xbox 360 version, focusing mainly on the console specific features of the game.

The game features a four player co-op mode that allows gamers to meet up both locally and online at the same time. There's also drop-in and drop-out support so at any time you can bring a friend in for some dragon slaying action.

As the final tease, CDV has released a four player co-op trailer showing off some examples of the epic battles you and your friends can have in the game's co-op mode.

]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/1728/sacred-2-fallen-angel-xbox-360-shots-won-t-harm-bears.htmlSacred 2 released for PC late last year, and the much anticipated and twice delayed console versions are slated for release next month. (Finally!) Up to two couch co-op players can join two more friends online to make a dungeon crawling quartet. Sacred 2 reminds us of other action RPGs like Diablo and Titan Quest, and that is a good thing, for sure!
