It's been sometime since we've heard from the team over at Rocket City Studios about their first title, Second Chance Heroes. Part hack-n-slash RPG and part Gauntlet-style action, the game feature historical figures, like Nikola Tesla, Leonardo DaVinci, and more, fighting their way through the zombie menace that has overtaken the world.

The game still features cooperative online play that runs through the entire campaign, however, co-op is now limited to online only and only up to three players (PC version allowed for local co-op or online up to 4). The game also features in-app purchases for the game's currency, which is used to buy additional relics, powers, and new characters. However, those purchases are optional as completion of levels will earn you the gold as well.

“Made weak by over-exposure to kitten videos, reality TV, and ironic photos of bacon, the citizens of the modern world are entirely unprepared when the end of the world arrives!” That’s the setup to the events that unfold in Second Chance Heroes. The only way to stop these evils is by putting together a team of historical figures, ranging from Abraham Lincoln with a chainsaw to Napoleon Bonaparte riding on a cannon, and taking on zombies, wolfmen, vampires, and other assorted monsters. It’s definitely different, and more than a little bit quirky.
