]]>We really liked Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. And it looks like we weren't alone. Stardock have announced that the game has sold over 100,000 copies via digital distribution channels. The publisher was previously worried that Steam might have cannabalized their direct sales of the game, but instead, saw it only supplement them. Obviously with direct sales Stardock is getting a larger piece of the financial pie, so they wouldn't want to cut into that. Thankfully this looks like an everybody wins situation.

Rebellion brings an immense amount of content to the award winning game and is the perfect starting point for new players in the Sins universe since it contains everything from the Sins universe up until this point. Rebellion comes in at a perfect time to inject some life back into Sins and jettison pilots new and old into one of the best strategy games of its time.
If you've never played a Sins of a Solar Empire game, it's probably a bit daunting to hear that a single level can take days to complete. That's part of the charm that is this 4x strategy game. Decisions you make echo throughout your entire gameplay session. While the first Sins game focused entirely on combat, and the expansion added diplomacy to the mix - the upcoming Rebellion takes things a step further adding research victories as well as some alternates like last flagship standing, last capital and others.

Its what I like to call space porn - and for anyone thats ever played the game its hard to argue with the incredible visuals the game provides. Like i said though, its a complicated and deep game, but once you get past the learning curve its incredibly enjoyable - especially in co-op.
