The goal of the figures is to get the word out about a disorder that affects 1 in 68 children. In addition to the Skylander figures, Activision launched an employee matching program in order to raise funds for autism awareness.

Superchargers brings planes, submarines and automobiles to the Skylanders universe for the first time and, as you can imagine from this heightened world, they do a little more than just pootle around. Locally, the game only supports one other player but the newly announced online racing mode will allow up to four players to go head-to-head. So it's not currently clear (and Activision/Vicarious Visions aren't exactly forthcoming about) how many players can join in the co-op fun online.
Skylanders SuperChargers introduces a new type of hero in Skyland, aptly named the SuperChargers. Those demons of speed come with brand new weapons, attacks, and plenty of stunt-like moves in their repertoire. Vehicles are designed for air, land and sea racing and can be customized and upgraded for maximum awesomeness. Outside of the game, the SuperCharger toys come with moving parts to make them more interesting on their own. You can even combine a SuperCharger Skylander with its signature vehicle to create a SuperCharged combination.
