In the newest DLC, you'll be shifting from the hills and villas of Italy to the place where all this sniping madness began - Germany. Here's the setup:
Sniper Elite 4 has a new update out, and with it came Winter Market, a never-before-seen survival map. The challenge here, as it is in most of the survival maps, is a lack of complete oversight of the environment. Blind spots and chest-high cover run amok here, so you have to be extra aware of your environment before deciding on a new sniper's nest.

After recovering the "Deathstorm" package, Karl now travels to the town of Niroli to uncover what, exactly, the Nazis had planned for the weapon. To do this, he'll have to sneak into the medieval town and rescue an important Italian scientist and his wife. Just as with part one, this new story mission can be played cooperatively online with a friend.
As it just so happens, you won't have to wait for too long. SE4's first DLC pack, titled "Deathstorm Part 1: Inception", is out on March 21st. In it, you'll be travelling to Northern Italy to infiltrate a recently bombed Nazi naval base and obtain a SUPER SECRET package related to Project Manhattan. Sounds like fun!
The Sniper Elite series’ staple has always been its bullet cam which follows your sniper’s shots from rifle to target in cinematic slow motion. First up is a look at Overwatch, the two player asymettrical co-op mission puts one player in the role of a sniper and the other in the shoes of a saboteur. Set on Railyard, the map is huge and expansive with lots of objectives to complete and many ways to accomplish it.
In the game's online co-op mode, a friend will be brought to your side as your spotter, body guard, distractor and more as you take down the evil Nazi empire in vicious x-ray bullet time. Here's the launch trailer giving you the skinny.
What makes the Sniper Elite series unique in terms of co-op play is the sniper/spotter approach to the missions. While one player serves the role of sniper, sitting in the distance and honing in on targets; the other player serves as a distraction and spotter - setting up the kills and drawing enemies away from their partner. It's an extremely satisfying experience and one we absolutely loved in our review of Sniper Elite 3.

Sniper Elite 4 is only a couple of weeks away so is Gold and winging its way to the shops. This means that Rebellion can show off footage from the pretty much finished game and they have been doing just this in a series of Dev Diaries. The latest rocks in at over an hour and concentrates on a 4 player online co-op mode called Survival. You and your pals must survive as long as you can against increasingly difficult waves of enemies - old school horde mode then.
Sniper Elite 4 isn't due out 'til next year (February 14th, specifically), but there's already a bit of DLC announced for the latest stealthy-sniper entry. "Target: Fuhrer", which will be available on release day and free for those who've pre-ordered the game, drops the player into a coastal facility with the goal of assassinating the admiral in charge of the joint. Well, next thing you know, Sniper Elite 4 plays the "Oh whoops, your target's been murdered by Hitler" card, and all of a sudden, you're on the hunt for lil' Adolf himself.
