Having put in a few hours into Brothers it is fair to say that it had a few niggling glitches that detracted from the game.  The 4 player co-op could be fun, but was rife with issues - players being kicked for no reason being one.  There was also no way of creating a private game for fewer than 4 players and getting together a posse that size is not always easy.

Prior to this update, if you wanted to play Super Dungeon Bros online, you had to play with three other people. Not a problem if you had three friends who also had the game, but very problematic if you only had one buddy who owned it. With the update, that problem is solved and online co-op is allowed for just two or three players. What's more, you can create a private lobby to ensure that you're only playing with your friends.

First up, we've got crossbows, which allow you to puncture your foes from afar.

As always Games With Gold gives owners of a Gold Xbox Live subscription four games they can download; two for the 360 and two for the One.  Next month sees a selection of older solo games, but the one brand new game is the 4 player co-op Super Dungeon Bros.  Having had a chance to play the game at Eurogamer 2016 I can attest that it is good fun with loads going on at once.

Like any good super group, the members fit into set personalities. You've got the tough guy, the smart one, the quiet bro, and that one dude you're pretty sure just drank beer out of an expensive vase because he's "craaaaaaaaaaaazy."

Super Dungeon Bros will not only allow you and up to four of your friends play online on the same platform of choice - either Xbox One, Windows 10, PC, PS4, or Mac- it will also let you play with friends on different platforms. Planning to buy it on the PS4 but your friend swears by the PC master race? No problem. Going to pick up Windows 10 (you early adopter you) and this game while your buddy is still putzing around on his Xbox One? That's fine! Picking it up on a Mac? ... well, good for you! I'm sure one of your pals will as well!
