Tango Fiesta Coming To The Xbox One On May 16th

The four player co-op game hit PC back in 2015, and to be honest, I wasn't aware of any plans to take it elsewhere, but here we are. Assuming nothing dramatic has changed in the porting process, it's a twin-stick shooter in which you follow the tale of John Strong as he takes on aliens and a host of other enemies. At its core, Tango Fiesta is an arcade action shooter in which you and three friends relive the tale of John Strong (and his presumably much less important cohorts) as he takes on foes ranging from aliens to game show hosts. It's always a "thing" to do when describing a game, to compare it as some sort of mashed up love child of other games. I immediately was reminded of the classic game, Total Carnage, and there's a splash of Broforce happening here too. While the character roster isn't as wide spread as Broforce, there's some similarity to be had. All characters have access to the same moves and weapons, which are unlocked by earning cash in missions, but each one has different strengths and weaknesses in areas like health, speed, accuracy and endurance.

The Killionaire update features a new world with new enemies, bosses, weapons, traps, and music, as well as some multiplayer-only "secret" objectives. The new level is not yet available to play in online multiplayer, as Spilt Milk Studios is still running through last minute testing before releasing it to the public.

The idea behind Tango Fiesta is a cheesy '80s action movie coming to life. John Strong, a hero's hero, is joined by three badass bros as they attempt to smash everything in sight, both enemies and scenery included. Also one gun at a time, as the heroes of Tango Fiesta can arm themselves with assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, uzis, knives, and possibly even sharpened sticks. Everything you'll need to take down whatever evil force threatens the planet!
