Out of the three, The Cave is probably the most prestigious as this 3 player local co-op adventure title received a handsome 4 out of 5 in our Co-Optimus review. Rocking up with same 4 out of 5 is Double Dragon Neon, a surprisingly decent take on the Double Dragon legacy that offers the 2 player local and online co-op you would want from the franchise.
]]>The Cave is the latest creation from Ron Gilbert and Double Fine Productions. Those names alone should get your attention. This platformer/puzzle game allows three players to go on a dangerous adventure, discovering the deepest hopes and desires of seven unique characters. You'll also feed hotdogs to giant monsters. Explore the secrets of The Cave in our Co-Op Review.
Ron Gilbert's latest adventure, The Cave, is available for download now on the PlayStation Network and Nintendo Wii U. It will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC tomorrow. It's a Double Fine game, so you know it should be good, unless you're one of those soulless monsters who doesn't like Double Fine games. What's wrong with you? Embrace the love, and embrace The Cave.

It might not be the biggest title this year, but it should pack quite the adventure for co-op players out there.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/9534/sega-announces-the-cave-will-release-before-the-end-of-january.htmlWell hello there. When last we met, we introduced you to roughly half of the cast of Double Fine's upcoming co-op adventure, The Cave. This included the Hillbilly, the Monk, the Scientist, and the Twins. Each of these protagonists is on a quest of some sort, though it would appear that not all may be as it seems. The latest character trailer has come out and we're introduced to the rest of the possible heroes.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/9433/meet-the-rest-of-the-cast-of-the-cave.html"There is a cave, boy... a cave... of wonders!" When we first heard about Double Fine's latest game, The Cave, certain members of the staff (mainly, Mike and myself) were ecstatic. Then, Mike got his hands on the game at PAX and was able to fill in some of the details with how the game plays. Since that time, though, we haven't heard too much about The Cave or, indeed, from the The Cave itself. As its release date on XBLA, PC, PSN, and Wii U eShop looms ever closer, a little more background to this whole adventure is revealed as The Cave itself introduces us to some of the cast of characters... And what motivates them to explore its dark depths...
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/9358/meet-some-of-the-cast-of-double-fine-s-the-cave.htmlFor me, The Cave was one of the standout games I saw at E3, in no small part due to the fact it's an adventure game by Ron Gilbert and Double Fine. Sure, there's some pesky platforming involved, but don't be fooled: this is an adventure game in the old style, complete with logical-yet-nonsensical puzzles and the trademark Double Fine humor. We weren't able to put hands on the game at E3, but when we heard a more recent build would be playable at PAX, I told Nick we needed to make an appointment post-haste.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/8892/pax-2012-the-cave-hands-on-impressions.htmlOne of the games I was really itching to check out at E3 was Ron Gilbert/Double Fine's recently-announced The Cave. As luck would have it, it ended up being the very last thing I was able to get an appointment to see, and I think we're in for a real co-op treat.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/8419/e3-2012-the-cave-impressions.htmlRon Gilbert and Double Fine Productions are working together to bring us a 2D side-scroller combination of Blizzard's puzzle-platformer, The Lost Vikings, and the old school, LucasArts adventure game, Maniac Mansion, known only as: The Cave.
