The Scourge Project is a Little Better Now

Although it critically bombed (at least, it did as far as we're concerned), The Scourge Project was a nice idea wrapped up in pretty visuals and slow-cooked over smart gameplay. It was marred by some nasty game-breaking tech issues, and Tragnarion Studios is working hard to hash out whatever bugs they can.

While The Scourge Project was a game we anticipated with uh, a lot of anticipation, we were quite disappointed by the final product. At it's core there was some really great ideas and concepts there, but the game was marred by an overall lack of polish. Still there was some fun to have in the game's four player co-op modes.

The Scourge Project Hits Steam Today, 10% Off For First Week

A couple weeks ago we got some hands-on time with Tragnarion Studio's four player co-op, third-person shooter, The Scourge Project, and were rather pleased with what we saw. A co-op game where the narrative can be viewed from four unique perspectives is a particular mechanic that we certainly haven't seen in many of the games we've played and reviewed here at Co-Optimus, and one that Omar Salleh, the game's director, discussed in a bit more detail in our interview with him. After the preview and the discussion with Omar, we were eager to get our hands on the full-game and see what mysteries it had in store for us. Well, the time is finally at hand as Tragnarion announced today that The Scourge Project will be available for purchase on Steam today, and is even available at a 10% discount if you order it within the first week of its release.

The Scourge Project Releases this March on Steam

Tragnarion Studios has announced that the first two episodes of their four player co-op shooter, The Scourge Project, will be released this March via Steam. The game was originally slated to release last year, but has since been delayed. An Xbox Live Arcade versions is still being planned as well.

Independent developer Tragnarion Studios has announced their brand new Unreal Engine 3 powered game The Scourge Project. Billed as a 3rd person squad shooter set in a fictional futuristic world, players can team up for four player co-op action through a five hour campaign.
