All of that said theHunter: Call of the Wild is a really interesting game. As I say on the stream, I'm not sure I could ever go hunting in real life, but I definitely appreciate how this game portrays the sport and the skills necessary in our to be successful. On top of all of that it's just downright gorgeous with incredible visuals and a really slick audio presentation. As mentioned during the stream, it feels almost like a Far Cry game.

It might not match the feeling of an actual hunting trip, but by golly, the game's developers are doing everything they can to offer the next best thing. It sounds like theHunter: Call of the Wild will be using the same open world engine, Apex, that Avalanche used for Just Cause 3. Players can expect a full day/night cycle, a variety of terrain to explore, and a menagerie of game to hunt. The details on what the co-op will entail are sketchy right now, there's just mention that it will support up to eight players and offer "cooperative modes."
