Nøkk, who has already been teased, is an attacker whose focus lies in their ability to move about undetected.  This is presumably explained through some sort of Clancy-esque technological nonsense, but I like to imagine that Rainbow convinced an actual Scandinavian witch to join in on their CQC escapades.  On the more domestic side of things, the defending team is receiving Warden, a good ol' Kentucky boy with fancy glasses that let him see through flash grenades.

This time around, they're teasing the arrival of a new attack-oriented operator, Nøkk.  The accompanying trailer is quite brief, so it's hard to tell the exact dynamics they'll be adding to the game, but it'll almost undoubtedly revolve around a disappearing act.

To ensure things never feel too stale, though, Ubisoft has opened R6S up to the general public for the weekend, specifically May 17th through the 21st.  It should already be available to download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, so you can hop in as soon as you're able.  The download itself can be found on the game's product page for both consoles and through the Uplay launcher on PC.  Just a reminder - you'll need a PlayStation Plus membership if you're using Sony's system.

The event, titled "Outbreak," will arrive with the first season of content (titled "Operation Chimera") when it drops sometime early next year. The event will be free-to-play during a four week period, which seems to imply that you won't need to acquire the Operation Chimera content in order to play. In the new event, players will take on zombies, who are the ever-present threat in video games. Additionally, during that four week period players will be able to earn unique cosmetic rewards tied to the event.

The announcement coincides with a fresh look at Operation White Noise, the final content drop for the game's second year.  The trailer below advertises the free weekend (which runs from the 16th through the 19th) by showing bits of White Noise in action.

The new Operation White Noise adds three new operators; an attacker, a defender and a GROM operative who has few details but according the the blog post is “known for their resilience and bravery”. In addition to the characters, there is a new map that takes place in the Seoul skyline along with new weapons.
