For the uninitiated, Trine and its sequel are sidescrolling puzzle adventure games roughly similar to the old Lost Vikings series from a few decades ago. Three characters head out on the adventure (a knight, a wizard, and a thief), each with their own attacks, playing style and special abilities. In order to progress through the stages and defeat the enemies, you have to use their skills in concert by switching between characters on-the-fly. It's a swell set-up for a solo player, but when you throw in co-op for up to three people (including online!), you've got the makings of an amazing cooperative experience.
]]>As puzzle platforms go, it's tough to beat Trine 2. The genre isn't exactly everyone's favorite in this modern age of first person teabagging simulations and candy farming games (or whatever those Facebook things let you do), but it's ripe territory for an amazing cooperative experience. Trine 2 puts players in control of a wizard, knight and a thief as they work through a gorgeous fantasy world. Each character has his or her own abilities that must be used in concert to proceed. The wizard can levitate foes and spawn crates the others can stand on, the thief has deadly arrows and a handy invisibility cloak, and the knight carries a big hammer that can smash anything in his path. Our Trine 2 co-op review spells out all the lovely details.

Especially if you have a group of three players together each taking the role of the Knight, Wizard and Rogue. So sit back and enjoy the first hour of the game as we solve puzzles the only way we know how - by flailing around wildly summoning boxes and breaking things.
]]> https://www.co-optimus.com/article/11371/trine-2-co-op-stream-extremely-magical-puzzle-solving.htmlThe package contains the original game, the Goblin Menace DLC, and the secret Dwarven Caverns level as well. Trine 2: Complete Story will run at 1080p while maintaining a sizzling 60 frames per second. Those specs alone warrant a look of a game with such shockingly enchanting graphics. Those giant glowing purple mushrooms will look more fantastic than ever before. Of course, pretty much everything in this game can be labeled as "giant, glowing, and purple." Magic is doled out pretty fast and loose in the world of Trine. The Complete Story supports stereoscopic 3d for those with capable televisions.
An initial down payment of any amount will bag you the splendid 3 player co-op title Trine 2: The Complete Story, so good we gave it the maximum 5 out of 5. None co-op fans are also catered for in this initial fix with Mark of the Ninja, Eets Munchies Beta and Brutal Legend.

Several arcade games are present, but the one that catches the co-op eye is Trine 2 for only 400 Microsoft Points, that's down from 1200. This 3 player co-op title is one of the best download experiences out there and a steal at that price.

Therefore, they launched Trine 2: The Director's Cut, the original sequel with added extras. Check out the launch trailer if you don't believe me.
