White Knight Chronicles 2 Will Release September in the U.S.

White Knight Chronicles 2 released in the PAL region last month, but JRPG enthusiasts state-side are still without their fix for huge medieval gundams. Never fear, JRPG'ers - White Knight Chronicles 2 is slotted for a September U.S. release on the PS3. The game is a direct sequel to the first title, and will be the conclusion to the storyline. Developer LEVEL-5 has taken player feedback on the first game very seriously, and as such reports dramatic improvements to the battle system which include more strategic combat and a faster Action Gauge. Online co-op has also been expanded to up to 6 players instead of 4.

White Knight Chronicles was released just shy of a year and a half ago. We found the game to be a pretty good single-player experience and a decent co-op experience. A week from now (June 9th for AUS, June 10th for UK, and June 8th for the rest of PAL), its sequel and prequel will simultaneously be hitting the store shelves on two different consoles.

White Knight Chronicles is getting a sequel in North America, but it won't be coming as a Sony published title. Instead D3 Publisher, who recently published God Eater Burst and the upcoming Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, will be handling the publishing duties of White Knight Chronicles 2.
