Everyone's favorite five dollar roguelike will soon get a whole new way to play.

Adventures Mini-Campaigns Are Coming to Vampire Survivors

It seems like just the other day that the free 'Whiteout' campaign was added to the Switch version of Vampire Survivors. Still, the team at Poncle isn't one to sit on its vampire-repelling laurels. They've already announced Adventures, a new game type that will be coming to Vampire Survivors in its next update. Three adventures will debut with said update, and they will support local co-op to boot.

After a slight delay, Switch owners can play the new Whiteout level.

Vampire Survivors for Switch Now Has the Free 'Whiteout' Update

Shortly before Halloween, Vampire Survivors got a big, free update on Xbox, Steam, and mobile. The Switch version of the update, however, experienced a last-minute delay. Thankfully, the update has finally arrived on the Switch, so up to four local players can now battle monsters (but no actual vampires) in the snowy Whiteout level, Nintendo-style.

This strap adds comfort and convenience to the Meta Quest 3, and it won't break the bank.

DamonLight Adjustable Head Strap for Meta Quest 3 - Review

The Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headset is a very nice headset in many ways, but the stock strap that's used to hold the headset onto your head is uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. Meta wants users to buy their fancy Elite Strap accessory, but it sells for a steep $70. Thankfully, third-party manufacturers are already offering affordable ...

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for October 2023

The point 'n' click adventure genre isn't especially known for innovation. The main gameplay gimmick is in the name, after all. Once in a blue moon, however, some developer comes along and tries something different, like way back in 2004 when the Spanish developer Alcachofa Soft released their title Mortadelo y Filemón: Una Aventura de Cine, which featured LAN/online co-op for two players (the Steam release changed it to local co-op only). Was it janky, and did it suffer from soft-locks due to accidental sequence breaking? Yes. Was it still an awesome and unique experience? Definitely. We don't know of any other point 'n' click adventure ever trying the same before or after that, until this month when COWCAT added 4-player local co-op (!) to their already unique "Punch & Click" Adventure, BROK the InvestiGator. What a very nice surprise.

The two Gallic heroes are about to embark on a new fisticuff-filled adventure!

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 Will Deliver Slaps on November 13

The original Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! is a solid beat 'em up featuring an appealing art style that closely matches that of the European Asterix comics. Given the positive fan reaction, it's no surprise that Microids and developer Mr. Nutz Studio quickly set out to work on a sequel. Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 is now set to arrive on consoles and PC on November 13, a date that falls in line with the release target promised back in June.

The classic Data East beat 'em up is coming back with HD artwork.

Forever Entertainment Announces Night Slashers: Remake

Before eventually going out of business, Data East released numerous arcade games across a variety of genres. While many of their games are lesser known, various collections, re-releases, and remakes continue to trickle out. Joe & Mac, for instance, has already seen a remake in the form of New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja from Microids. Now Forever Entertainment (makers of The House of the Dead: Remake) is throwing their hat into the ring with Night Slashers: Remake, an HD version of Data East's cult classic beat 'em up.

FPS-Roguelike 'Roboquest' Heading to Xbox and PC on November 7

Although roguelikes have become quite popular in recent years, you don't see many first-person shooter roguelikes (other than Gunfire Reborn). The genre will soon have a new entry, though, in the form of Roboquest from RyseUp Studios and Starbreeze Publishing. After a period of Steam Early Access, Roboquest will fully launch on Xbox, Steam, and Epic in early November.

Vampire Survivors Gets Free 'Whiteout' Update On Xbox, Steam, and Mobile

Vampire Survivors is one of the best values in gaming. The "little $5 game that could" received a free co-op update not long ago, and now the free "Whiteout" update has come along as well. The addition of a new level, a new character, and other content will certainly give fans of the gothic Roguelike a reason to hop back into the game.

The spirit of the Mega Man series lives on in this challenging co-op platformer.

30XX Co-op Review

Capcom has shown precious little interest in keeping the Mega Man franchise alive, hence it’s up to indie developers to carry the torch. Chief among those developers is Batterystaple Games, whose well-received 20XX first appeared on Steam in 2016 and made its way to consoles over time. After a period of early access, the sequel, 30XX has full...

These kids don't know how to act, but they do know how to fight!

NINJA KIDZ: TIME MASTERS Has Sneaked onto PlayStation, Switch, and Steam

Ninja Kidz is a popular YouTube video series starring martial artist kids who can't act as they get into all kinds of adventures. The "kidz" are so popular, in fact, that they've been given a low-budget beat 'em up for consoles and PC. NINJA KIDZ: TIME MASTERS sends the "kidz" back into the past in a mission to rescue their grandmasters from the forces of evil. It supports 4-player local co-op, so parents and children can join in the martial arts fun.
