The new Star Trek game hit store shelves yesterday. Kirk and Spock, along with the rest of the crew of the Enterprise, will find themselves at odds with the Gorn, a race of rather awesome-looking humanoid lizards. This new trailer is full of action and sweet sound effects from the rebooted franchise. It features all the assorted pings and pews of a Star Trek space battle.
I like how the Enterprise arrives, opens hailing frequencies, gets no response, and instantly goes into kick-ass mode. Seriously, they just show up and start blasting away at stuff. That's what I call being proactive. Anyway, out of all the games I play this year, I'm sure this will be one of them. Since this is a licensed game for a franchise I'm fond of, I'll keep my hopes high and expectations low.
Star Trek supports two player local co-op and two player online co-op. It's available today on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. We'll have a Co-Op Review for you up as soon as possible.
