Inkbound, the new co-op roguelite from Monster Train developer Shiny Shoe, received a big update last week, titled "The Starship of Terrors." This was a significant milestone for the title as it not only added new content to the game - including a new character class, a new zone, a new daily challenge, and a new way to craft your ideal build via "trinkets" - but it also tweaked and refined a number of existing features; it's also entirely free.

Over the past 20 years, there have been a number of action-RPG titles that fall in line with the reductive/encompassing idea of "Monster Hunter-like." The latest entry into this field - Wild Hearts - comes from Koei Tecmo and Omega Force and published by Electronic Arts, and it shows a lot of promise... if it can just get out of its own way.

It's been back to back weeks for the Monday Night crew here at Co-Optimus, hooked on the pre-release beta for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. If you've played one of the Vermintide games, you know what this is all about, except now we've 38 thousand years in the gritty war torn future. 

Our spooky month of streaming continues, this time diving into the Early Access version of Phasmophobia, a co-op ghost hunting game in which you and some friends get to peace out...cooperatively!

It's October and that means the screw would wants to jump into the scary stuff! First up is a recently released early access game on Steam called Horrors of Space. The game puts you and three other friends on a space ship trying to escape, running from a terrible monster with really heavy boots. Things Alien Isolation with friends.

We haven't had the full four player co-op crew together in a while, but no matter. Locke, Mike and Nick dove headfirst into Rift Loopers, a twin stick rogue-lite game that's part Vampire Survivors, and part Red Solstice. 

The much anticipated "massive expansion" to Monster Hunter Rise - Sunbreak - arrived yesterday (June 30) and earlier this week, in anticipation of its release, we figured we'd dip back into Rise for a quick High Rank hunt before checking out a couple of the new monsties in the Sunbreak demo.

Last night the Nick, Jason and Locke dove headfirst into a virtual table-top RPG sans VR goggles. Demeo: PC Edition is out in early access on PC and with it comes broader support to the tactical RPG where players must conquer three levels of a dungeon together.

In the end, The Anacrusis did everything humanly possible to make us die. And it succeeded. The 3.0 update is out for the game, promising to reduce the difficulty we experienced a few months prior.

This week we looked at Conan Chop Chop in our weekly Monday evening co-op stream. Mike, Jason, Locke and Nick put on their loin clothes, strapped on their swords, and slaughtered the baddies of Hyboria together. But this isn't a dark and gritty game, instead it's colorful, goofy, and over the top.

Nick's got his Riskrunner, Mike's got his snark, Jason's got his unbridled enthusiasm... yep! It's another Destiny 2 co-op stream! This time we're checking out the most recent expansion, Witch Queen, and discussing what's new with the Light and Darkness.

We've had preview builds of Dying Light 2 for a few weeks now, a few of us have put 8-10 hours into the game already. But we weren't able to play co-op until the day before release so a proper review couldn't be ready for the launch. That said we've now dug in and come back with some impressions and a stream recap.
