Over this past weekend we got our hands on the Dark Souls 2 beta and were able to catch a network testing session. Now this isn't your normal preview, because we actually streamed live for a couple hours and we wanted to share the experience with the rest of you that like to suffer as much as us.
So please, if you will, take a gander at the following videos from that fateful night. Dropped into an unknown land, all alone with nothing to keep us company other than our sword and shield. There was a good number of other players dropping down summoning signs as well as many invaders to keep things in check.
We tried to roll with as many people as possible, opting for a full party of 3 at all times. There are a couple interesting mechanics that have been added such as the torch as well as lifegems. Overall the game feels very similar to Dark Souls and the summoning was spot on, so you're going to have no trouble finding people to play with in Dark Souls 2.
Dark Souls 2 is still slated to come out on March 11, 2014 so there is still quite some time for some more streams and previews. Be sure to keep an eye out on the site and our Twitch channel for more Dark Souls 2 sessions.
