Rebellion is making a lot of progress in their next installment of the hit stealth franchise, Sniper Elite 3! Currently, this is the only tactical sniping game with under development for the current generation of consoles, let alone with some sweet co-op modes to look forward to.
This latest chapter takes place in the "unforgiving yet exotic terrain" of WW2's North Africa hardships. With a vast army of Tiger tanks and other deadly weapons at their disposal, the German Afrika Korps have rallied against the Allied troops looking to make their way up the "boot" of Italy. While the battling rages on, a more dark and sinister plot previously unheard of begins to unfold. The Nazis are attempting to hide their horrible plan of developing a super weapon that would destroy all hope of victory in both Africa, let alone the freedom of the world. It's up to you to stop this evil Nazi plot from coming to fruition.
If you've ever played a Sniper Elite game before, many of the same game mechanics as before will return, but with much more appeal. Rebellion previously stated that this game is their most ambitious yet, so we'll have to keep our fingers crossed. As for the different features being offered in Sniper Elite 3, we do have confirmation that the main campaign can be played via 2-player co-op, along with two other co-op modes that will be available: Overwatch and Survival. Here are the rest of the key features described:
Expansive new environments – Stalk multi-route environments up to THREE times larger than levels seen in Sniper Elite V2. Never play a level the same way twice.
Adapt to any situation – Use stealth, distraction, sound masking and traps. Your approach. Your way. If things go hot, use the new ‘Relocate’ mechanic to slip into the shadows and find a new weakness in enemy lines.
New vehicle kill cam - Multi-stage destruction allows you to take out armoured cars, trucks and tanks piece-by-piece before delivering the final shot. See vehicles disintegrate in intricate detail.
Revamped human X-ray kill cam – The acclaimed X-ray kill-cam is back and bolder than ever, including a detailed muscle layer, 3D mesh particles and a complete human circulatory system.
Tense adversarial multiplayer - Five extreme modes of competitive action, earn Medals and Ribbons as you play, gain XP across all game modes and become a true Sniper Elite!
Explosive co-op play – Play the entire campaign in two player co-op or test your team work in two exclusive modes, Overwatch and Survival.

Additionally, pre-ordering the game now will net you the bonus DLC "Hunt of the Grey Wolf", giving players yet another opportunity to take down Adolf Hitler for themselves:
