Short and not so sweet news today. Halo Spartan Assault can be purchased on Steam next week for $4.99, instead of being tied to the Windows App Store like it was previously. This means if you haven't made the jump to Windows 8, you can easily purchase the game and enjoy it unlike before.
The downside though is the game doesn't include the new co-op mode found in the Xbox One version of the game. So take this as your PSA - as of now Halo: Spartan Assault on Steam does not include two player online co-op. The game is on sale on the Windows store for $1.99 right now. It's also available for $9.99 on Xbox One.
