The supremely cooperative PlayStation Network puzzle game ibb & obb is finally coming to PC! Developer Sparpweed has set the Steam release for May 26th, complete with both local and online co-op for two players. It even comes with Steam achievements, cloud saving and Steam trading cards!
ibb & obb hit PSN back in August 2013. It puts players in control of the little green guy ibb and the slightly less little purplish guy obb, two characters whose powers are limited to walking and jumping around. The surreal world ibb and obb inhabit is filled with clever gravity-inverting portals that change physics for the character that leaps through. By using these portals and working as a team, ibb and obb can solve the fiendishly difficult puzzles that block their progress. We absolutely loved the game in our ibb & obb co-op review, if that tips the scales at all.
To encourage more cooperation, ibb & obb will be available to purchase a double pack for an extremely deep discount. One copy of the game will be $11.99, which allows for local co-op, and the Best Friends Forever Double Pack will be $13.99, for those of us who prefer our co-op partners to live anywhere but our own house. It's technically possible to play the game with just one person, but we don't recommend it. Controlling both characters with one brain is just... ouch. Get another person and it suddenly becomes an amazing co-op experience.
