Microsoft announced Halo: The Master Chief Collection at its press conference on Monday, featuring all four games starring our favorite faceless supersoldier in one convenient package. Because playing games in anything less than 1080p makes some people's eyes bleed, Master Chief's adventures have all received the Halo Anniversary treatment and been updated for our modern retinas. Feast your eyes on some of the hot campaign action from Halo 2 in this trailer.
Halo 2 received additional attention, noting that the competitive multiplayer would remain unchanged from the original product. Fans were understandably delighted.
Speaking of multiplayer, Forge has been added to the Collection, meaning you creative types can set to work making your very own levels and arenas to battle in. Or you can just combine a bunch of warthogs into the shape of a pterodactyl. I won't judge.
This is a pretty big deal if you're a Halo fan. Being able to relive the magic of those first games (and the fourth, of course) on a current console means no more digging out that dusty ol' 360 every time you wanna team up with the Arbiter. The Master Chief collection drops November 11th of this year.
