Gears of War 2 has only been out a few months, but has had two patches already. It's good to see that Epic is still interested in tweaking and adding to the game even though it sold roughly a bazillion copies. It looks like more tweaks will be on the way, as a new, third title update is on its way. So, what are some of the changes? Just ask Epic's Rod Fergusson.
"What if, instead of skill rank, we instead showed your experience level," proposes Fergusson. "You would gain experience through your individual performance" adding, that the "higher your score at the end, the more experience you acquire."
Sounds similar to Halo 3, doesn't it? That's probably a good thing, we hear that game is kind of popular, too. Of course, a new achievements would be added for gaining levels, and a cap of around 99 is mentioned. No release date is available as of yet. Keep those Lancers gassed up in the meantime.
