Initially released via web browser, the tactical RPG Immortal Empire will soon be coming to Steam. The main action of the game uses an X-Com like system to dictate how many actions you - and your foes - can take in one turn. Once you stand triumphant, you earn XP to use to level up your party and gather loot to make you stronger.
This is a free-to-play game where players can spend money to unlock new playable characters and upgrades, though it is not needed in order to progress in the game. The announcement teaser is below and you can check out the game in action over on Tactic Studios' YouTube page.
The game definitely looks interesting with the combat and different classes. I'm not one to shy away from a free-to-play game, though I am often cautious about where the money comes in to things.
There's no set release date for the game at the moment, though it likely will be soon as the title is currently down on the web browser side of things and I'd imagine the developer will be eager to get it up and running.
