Every year, Co-Optimus participates in Extra Life, a 24-hour gaming marathon that raises money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year is no different. We're pulling the team together again, and we're hoping to raise $2,500 for kids who need medical help. The donations go to kids who need treatments for scary diseases like cancer, kids injured in accidents, or premature babies who were born way too early. Hospitals can also choose to spend donations on state of the art facilities and equipment to serve local children even better.
We'll be asking everyone we know for donations, twisting our fellow gamers' arms until they join our team, and spamming social media in hopes to get just one more donation. Our team needs your help! We need team members like you. Participating is really, quite easy. All you need to do is sign up on our page, then ask your friends and families to make donations on your page. We highly recommend that you participate in the official Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon on November 7th, but we certainly don't require it. You can play any day you choose, or split the 24 hours over several days, or tag team the marathon with your friends. Ultimately, the gaming part is just for fun, the donations are the most important part.
Speaking of donations, anyone can make a donation on one of our team members' pages. Just view our team roster, click on one of our team members (bonus points if you pick me), then click on the "Support Me" button at the top of the team member's page. Donations made on a participant's page go straight to the hospital they chose during registration. You can see which hospital they picked on the right side of their page.
On game day, November 7th, we'll be streaming all 24 hours on our Twitch channel. We welcome everyone to stop by, watch us play, chat with us, and even join our games. We're going to need the company (and donations) to keep us going!
If you have any questions about joining or donating, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email, or reply to this post. I'd be happy to help you. Please consider donating or joining our team!
