Ironward's Next Title is Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action

Red Solstice devs take aim at twin-stick shooters

Regular fans of our Monday night co-op streams may remember seeing us check out Red Solstice a couple times. It's a pretty interesting squad-based tactical shooter that requires a great degree of cooperation. The development team behind it, Ironward, is setting their sights on bringing some of that same tactical thinking to a twin-stick shooter with Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action.

Set within the same universe as Red SolsticeSolstice Chronicles: MIA puts you in the shoes of a "corporate grunt" that must fight off hordes of mutants infected by the STROL virus in order to track down a cure. At your side is a drone that can you can use to stem the tide of enemies. The title is currently aiming to feature a "skill tree system with Diablo 2 style progression, featuring 4 classes" and local co-op for two players, each of whom will be able to customize their own grunt however they see fit.

Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action will support two players locally throughout the campaign and will be released for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One sometime in 2017.
