Bandai Namco keeps the Pac-Man franchise alive through numerous re-releases on consoles as well as Arcade1Up and other miniature arcade cabinets. This console generation has seen a pair of cool collections of NES games from Namco and Namco Museum, an arcade-themed compilation for Switch, but the last Pac-Man-specific collection dates back to the Xbox 360 era. That will change in just a few months when Pac-Man Museum Plus heads to all consoles and PC, complete with the 4-player co-op sleeper hit, Pac-Man 256.
Pac-Man Museum Plus will offer the following games:
PAC-MAN
SUPER PAC-MAN
PAC & PAL
PAC-LAND
PAC-MANIA
PAC-ATTACK
PAC-IN-TIME
PAC-MAN ARRANGEMENT Arcade ver.
PAC-MAN ARRANGEMENT CS ver.
PAC-MAN CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION
PAC Motos
PAC’N ROLL REMIX
PAC-MAN BATTLE ROYALE
PAC-MAN 256
We know for sure that Pac-Man 256 supports 4-player local co-op, and my gut tells me that one of the Pac-Man Arrangement games has 2-player local co-op. Pac-Man 256 is a great game although most Pac fans probably already own it separately.
Games aren't the only draw of this collection. Pac-Man Museum Plus (the real title uses a plus symbol) features a customizable arcade. Players can unlock items for it by earning coins from the included games, which should provide some welcome replay value.
Pac-Man Museum Plus will arrive on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Steam, and Windows 10/11 with Xbox Play Anywhere support on May 27. Players who buy within the first 30 days of launch will get a free trophy pack for customizing their in-game arcades. The game will also launch on Xbox Game Pass, so practically everybody will get to celebrate Pac-Man's history this May!
